Sierra Kanistanaux is a self taught ceramic artist based in San Francisco. Each piece she creates tells a unique story that contributes to a larger narrative— evoking nature, mythology, ritual and eternal symbols that transcend time and culture. Through texture, pattern, and form, she aims to awaken the senses and elevate our experience of the places we inhabit. Her work draws upon the many cities and towns she has called home — from the architectural elements of Europe and the Mediterranean to the natural forms of Montana and Northern California.
